Why Renew Now

Surveyors ask who maintains the emergency power supply system and whether those individuals are qualified. A current CHEPP® certificate answers that question for every inspection and test record you sign.

Renewal keeps your credential continuous, without retaking the full course, and leaves no gap in your facility's competency file.

WHAT YOUR RENEWAL INCLUDES

Everything you need to stay current

A new CHEPP® certificate

Dated from your renewal and valid three years. Use the designation on letterhead, business cards, and email signatures.

Renewal assessment

The CHEPP Renewal Course and an open-book assessment based on the most recent editions of NFPA 99 and NFPA 110, completed at your own pace in the MGI portal.

Qualified-person standing

Continued listing as a certified professional for your facility's competency documentation under NFPA 110 8.4.8.

Not certain you hold a CHEPP certification?

You may still order. If MGI cannot match your record, your registration is placed on hold and reviewed personally within one business day, either to correct a simple mismatch or to apply your $295 toward the full CHEPP certification. A full refund is always available.
